Why run?
For a North Van where we can all plan our futures.
Many North Vancouverites worry there can’t be a future here for them or their loved ones due to our housing shortage. Recent growth has not produced the right homes for our families and workers,
especially during life changes like downsizing due to aging, starting a family, or leaving a childhood home. This lack of attainable housing options makes people leave our community, weakens our social support networks, and is changing who can afford to call North Vancouver home.
We need to grow differently. That means housing options for all generations, more ground-oriented and family-sized homes in established neighbourhoods, and housing that stays affordable long term.
Our complex housing challenges deserve real solutions. As a public sector scientist and educator, I’m driven by solving hard problems for my community. I’ll bring that dedication to Council to ensure all generations of North Vancouverites see a future here in Canada’s most liveable small city.
